Arvid Lindblad, the Racing Bulls rookie, will mark his first home Formula 1 appearance at Silverstone with a hand‑drawn helmet created alongside British‑Indian artist Navinder Nangla.
Design that echoes a childhood dream
Lindblad’s 18‑year‑old design features childlike sketches on a stark white backdrop, each line purposeful and unpolished. The visor is framed by a scribbled Union Jack, beneath which the phrase “Dream Big” is written in handwriting that mirrors the notes he drew at five years old, a time he first imagined steering an F‑1 car.
The artist added that the helmet serves as a canvas for a driver of mixed British‑Indian heritage, while again collaborating with a fellow British‑Indian creator. “It’s so radical how it’s been designed; I think it’s sick,” Nangla described. “The artwork reflects the synergy between a Formula 1 driver and a designer of shared cultural roots.”
Lindblad said the helmet “encapsulates my journey.” He reiterated, “From when I was five, six, it was always what I was working towards,” and that the child‑style imagery and the “Dream Big” text capture the vision the young boy once held.
