Ubisoft confirms that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be updated automatically and at no additional cost when making the generation jump to Xbox Series X.

In fact, as Ubisoft has confirmed, this new installment of its popular franchise will be compatible with Microsoft's Smart Delivery technology, with other games such as Cyberpunk 2077 that have also joined this initiative.
This means that if we buy it on Xbox One, later we will not only be able to download it at no additional cost on Xbox Series X, but it will also have all the pertinent technical improvements of the new generation, which according to Phil Spencer, will be many. With backwards compatibility with previous Xbox generations an already announced feature of Xbox Series X, this seems to be the most logical move, but it does not mean that it will be the norm.
Yes it will be in terms of Microsoft Game Studios games, that is, its exclusives. Without going any further, the first great exclusive launch of Xbox Series X, Halo Infinite, will feature the Smart Delivery feature, since as we know, it will also appear on Xbox One.
