Assassin's Creed Valhalla will not be the longest or longest game in the series

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will not be the longest or longest game in the series

Ubisoft acknowledges that they received criticism for the size of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the previous video game in the franchise.

More is better. That is the unwritten rule that is often observed in many video games. However, in the case of Assassin's Creed Valhalla it seems that it will not be fulfilled. At least that has commented Malek Teffaha, head of communication for Ubisoft in the Middle East. According to his statements, the new Ubisoft Montreal will be neither the longest nor the largest game, so other titles in the saga will surpass it in that regard.

Teffaha claims that they received criticism from some players regarding the immense size of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which invites us to tour the entire Greek territory. All in all, the map of Valhalla will include the lands of Eivor, protagonist of the video game, as well as four British kingdoms of the time. "For the record, it's not going to be the longest or longest game in the series," he says in a tweet. He also claims that they heard the criticism and that they took action on the matter.

One of the traditional mechanics, back

Ubisoft was aware that some players were unhappy because they thought that in some ways the latest games in the series had lost some of the essence of the classics. The developer has looked into the past and has decided to recover one of the classic mechanics, missing in both Origins and Odyssey. It is about social secrecy, which allows the murderer to camouflage himself among the crowd to go unnoticed.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, PC, and Google Stadia. Along with Ubisoft Montreal, 14 other studios have worked on shaping the new adventure, including Ubisoft Barcelona. In this new video game we manage Eivor, a character (male or female, both canons), who will board his ship and take his clan to explore England. Its objective? Find a new home. It will not be an easy task, since the British kingdoms also compete for hegemony.
