Aston Martin will debut a colour‑shifting “From Rock to Racetrack” livery at the Monaco Grand Prix, spotlighting sponsor Maaden’s mineral‑to‑technology narrative.
Aston Martin’s new visual identity for Monaco
The AMR26 will temporarily discard the team’s classic British green, adopting an iridescent coating that alters hue as the car drifts through the tight streets of Monte‑Carlo. The same finish will dress Fernando Alonso’s and Lance Stroll’s racing suits, as well as the helmets and overalls worn by the pit crew.
Maaden’s role embedded in the design
Developed in partnership with Maaden, the scheme visualises the progression of raw metals from extraction to high‑performance components, mirroring the sponsor’s “From Rock to Racetrack” campaign. In a statement, commercial managing director Jefferson Slack said the initiative underscores how Maaden‑sourced materials power modern society, including Formula 1 machinery.
Team performance context heading into the race
Despite the striking new look, Aston Martin enters the 2026 season on an uneven footing. The Adrian Newey‑designed chassis has struggled, while the newly forged works relationship with Honda suffers from engine vibrations and early‑season reliability setbacks.
