DICE has just opened Chapter 6 in 'Battlefield V', there is already an outlook on upcoming features, including a real fan request.
As the global community manager ‘Freeman’ writes on Twitter, update 6.2 will likely allow tanks to be adapted. After that, the players have been asking for ages, which is why you are now fulfilling this wish. How this looks after is shown in the following teaser:

Chapter 6 starts on February 6th and then promises an additional map in the jungle, new weapons and gadgets, including a bazooka, new elite soldiers with their own looks, personalities, voices and melee weapons and much more. Details can be found here again.
