Although the kung fu RPG ‘Biomutant’ has been announced for a while and should have been released, the project has been getting quieter lately. Now the developer, Experiment 101, speaks out and confirms that Biomutant is still under development.
It is currently not possible to say when the game will finally appear, since some things are still pending. A statement explains:
“We know that many of you are wondering if the game is still under development. We assure you that we have never worked so hard and concentrated as we do now! We are doing everything we can to make this game the best that we have all worked on and that it will be as entertaining and great as we can make it. We can only hope for your continued support and patience as we complete the final stages of development.
As some of you may understand or know, the final game development is long, challenging, and unpredictable. The sheer size and length of Biomutant contribute to this effort. We will announce the release date as soon as everyone in our studio is confident of reaching that date and the game is ready for it.
Thanks again for your understanding and for your continued support and enthusiasm for our game.

Most recently, publisher had postponed THQ Nordic to the next fiscal year, which starts in early April. Due to the upcoming generation change, it is also assumed that Biomutant will also be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X. So far, however, it is not officially.
