The popular Igarashi game now available on PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One is updated this week. On Switch it will take longer.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be updated in late May with new content for fans of this spiritual Castlevania heir: Symphony of the Night. From the hand of Igarashi, the title had already planned to receive a random mode and a new playable character, Zangetsu. Both developments already have a date: it will be this May 7 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Of course, the Nintendo Switch version must wait to receive it between the end of May or the beginning of June, as reported by the developer.
The reason why the Switch version will not receive these updates yet is because the team is committed, they explain from 505 Games, in improving the general operation of the version, clearly inferior to the others. Therefore, before adding an update of this type, they prefer to try to improve the version in question.
A way that must have been roguelite
Adding a random mode to the game was not the initial idea. At first, the objectives of Kickstarter were marked to be able to have a roguelite mode in the game, but it turns out that the code of the same is not compatible with this format. For this reason, they have decided to launch a mode that will not generate the castle in a procedural way, but that will allow giving a different experience by changing enemies, item drops, mission rewards, location of save rooms and areas where key objects are. . In addition, it can be shared with other players and there will be a stopwatch to see who finishes it first.
To play with Zangetsu we will have to finish the game and have got the good ending. Once we start a new game we can control it using his sword and his magical abilities. There is neither crafting nor story sequences since he is a character focused on combat. If you want to know how good Bloodstained is and encourage you to try it, we leave you with our Reviews.
