Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition Special Features
The first thing that strikes us about the exclusive Yeti X that we have in hand is its design. It has the same size and weight as its original version, but this time we can appreciate golden touches that give it a luxurious look. Among them we find the letters of World of Warcraft engraved, the Blue logo on both and a base with engraved runes from the magical universe in question. These runes are also transferred in led mode to the wheel that detects and regulates the input of sound.
One aspect that comes into play here and extends to many other areas is customization. Only in the section of the LED lights that the microphone has incorporated can we choose between a pattern of lights of the Alliance (blue) or the Horde (red) to show our alliance with one of the two mythical classes of WoW. We can also choose them to our liking from a wider color palette, so we have a wide range of customization options.
This applies also the voice, of course. It is a microphone, so this is the section that interests us the most. After having used it for a few days, we can say that it works luxuriously, just as one would expect from a Yet X. The special features that the World of Warcraft edition presents are linked to the Logitech G Hub, an application for PC from which we can manage our brand devices.
From there we can select and modify various settings to create personal presets in which a stereo, omnidirectional, cardioid or bidirectional pattern predominates (for interviews, for example). We can switch between one and the other from the outside of the micro itself, so it is very comfortable once we understand the particularities and uses of each of them. In addition, we can adjust all of this to our timbre and tone of voice to ensure optimal operation.
Many other surprises await us at the Logitech HUB. To begin with, it is worth highlighting the special effects that we can apply to our voice. With a single click we can transform ourselves into an orc, gnome, demon or dwarf and make our voice sound like one. We also have options less related to the WoW universe such as helium, whisper or even the original “witness protection”. Each of these effects can be customized and even mixed together to achieve results to our liking and surprise our listeners.
