Bluepoint Games praises great collaboration with Sony, but remains independent

Developer Bluepoint Games has made a name for itself in the past few years through various remasters (Uncharted, Shadow of the Colossus), which continue to praise the great collaboration with Sony. Nevertheless, you want to remain an independent studio and work with Sony.

This was emphasized by Bluepoint Games President Marco Thrush in an interview, which will also be available for the next generation if Sony so wishes.

“We are an independent studio. The hardware we develop for is determined by the publisher who hires us. The MGS HD Collection and Titanfall therefore had Xbox 360 SKUs. Various Sony studios were great partners, most recently JAPAN Studio. We have a great relationship with them and will be happy to continue working with them if they so choose. ”

Bluepoint Games is currently working on an as yet unknown PS5 project that is believed to be a remaster for Demon Souls. But whether you want to remain a remaster and co-developer forever is a completely different question. A specially developed project is also a dream for many studios, albeit often more difficult and with more risks to implement.
