Borderlands Collection on Switch: resolution, FPS, motion control and more

The 2K Games collection of games will arrive on the Nintendo hybrid console on May 29. We know all the details and specifications.

One of the big announcements from the past Nintendo Direct was the confirmation of BioShock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection and the Borderlands Legendary Collection, three big bets from 2K Games for the hybrid console for this spring. After knowing the first details of all the collections, available in physical and digital format this May 29, now more technical aspects of the Borderlands version are confirmed.

1080p and 30 FPS, with no reduction in texture quality

The Borderlands Collection, which will include for 49.99 euros Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, will run at 1080p resolution on television (they have not confirmed whether the native 720p of said will be maintained in portable mode screen); always respecting a refresh rate of 30 FPS. The team in charge of the port, Ture Me Up Games by Fractured Byte, assure that they have not reduced the load of textures to make the port: all assets have been maintained compared to the version of PS4, Xbox One and PC. In addition, they will include controls for movement as a great new addition.

As for the physical format version that will be sold in stores, the game will arrive with an 8 GB cartridge that includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, with an additional 6.6 GB download. Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will require a 35 GB download. In this way, only the first delivery will arrive in the cartridge; the other two are per download.

The catalog of exclusive Nintendo Switch games for 2020 leaves names such as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for this May 29 and Bravely Default II (which has released a demo in the eShop) in 2020, thus ratifying its commitment to go on sale before the end of this course.
