Cadillac’s inaugural Formula 1 campaign is gaining momentum as Valtteri Bottas confirms a steady rise in both pace and reliability.
Progress Amid Early Reliability Woes
Bottas said the team has tackled a series of technical retirements, noting that “we can see we have done [progress].” The driver highlighted that the vehicle is now more dependable and the crew’s operations are becoming smoother.
Speaking to F1.com, he admitted the learning curve includes “a few races that we haven’t finished with technical issues,” but stressed each setback refines the setup and strategy.
Building New Team Chemistry
Upon joining, Bottas encountered only a handful of familiar faces; since then, he has worked hard to forge stronger relationships across the squad, a process he describes as “a lot of work.” He added that the same sentiment applies to teammate Sergio Perez, whose chemistry with the team “has started off really well.”
Leadership Shift
Cadillac announced that Graeme Lowdon is stepping down as team principal, replaced by former Alpine executive Marcin Budkowski. The change comes as the outfit focuses on translating consistency into its first championship points.
