Bravely Default 2 for Switch is revealed in a new Japanese trailer

The Square Enix RPG returns after its two installments on Nintendo 3DS, although this time it is the turn of the Nintendo Switch.

Magic will once again be cast in Bravely Default 2, the sequel to an RPG saga that began on Nintendo 3DS but also debuted on mobile devices. Square Enix continues to work on this all-new installment for Nintendo Switch, which recently released a new free demo on the console store. The news from the Japanese will follow in the wake of previous games, especially in the artistic field, as can be seen in its new Japanese trailer, which you can see below these lines.

This video is focused on Wiswald, an arcane research center where sorcerers put their magical gifts to use. As in the previous games in the series, the developers have taken a well-known mechanic within the world of Japanese RPG titles, the job system designed for Final Fantasy. Thus, the trailer delves into the magician’s work and takes a look at some of the characters that will star in the adventure.

Delay until 2021

Like so many other projects that had the objective of going on sale in 2020, the team responsible for Bravely Default 2 has come across the wall of the coronavirus. Studies have had to adapt to this reality to allow developers to work from home, all without compromising the quality of any of their products. With that in mind, this JRPG will skip Christmas, but it won’t take long to get to Nintendo Switch: it will be next February 26 when we can enjoy this story.

Bravely Default 2 already released a demo previously, in March 2020. That first playable demo has served for the studio to collect the necessary feedback and implement the changes for the new demo and the final version.
