Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Everything We Know About Warzone Integration

We collect all the information we know about the integration of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with Warzone and Modern Warfare. Cross progress.

The Call of Duty franchise is preparing for a key moment of its recent stage. The arrival of Black Ops Cold War is accompanied by a series of changes and adjustments that fully impact Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. Starting on November 13, we will see the beginning of an ecosystem that extends to three titles at the same time.

Many were the questions in recent months. How will the integration with Black Ops Cold War be? Will I lose my progress? Will I stop progressing in Warzone with my activity in Modern Warfare? Now, at the gates of the new installment, we find the answers.

Cross Progression: Modern Warfare will not expire

The success of Call of Duty: Warzone has influenced the future plans of the saga. We are direct: Modern Warfare will continue in the Black Ops Cold War cycle. Our profile progress will cross between all three games simultaneously. We say goodbye to the current ranks to make way for the Military Ranks.

Unified progress between the three deliveries. Nothing is lost.

The Military Ranks is a new system started in Black Ops Cold War on November 13 and that will be extended to Modern Warfare and Warzone on December 10, the date on which the first season will begin. On that day, your level of progression from the two previous titles will be reset, that is, you will start from Military Rank 1. In the event that you are already a Cold War player, you will be synchronized with your level.

Rank reset does not affect items you have unlocked. You will keep your inventory intact, as well as the level of the weapons and their progress. From that moment on, the time you invest will not fall on deaf ears. If you play any Black Ops Cold War mode, you will climb Warzone and Modern Warfare, and vice versa. That also includes the Zombies side.

Cross progress extends to the Battle Pass. Although Modern Warfare stops receiving support in the form of new content, playing you can continue to climb in the battle pass of Black Ops Cold War, which at the same time is also that of Warzone. The studio says the current plan is to “retain all Modern Warfare content for use in Warzone, at least during the initial Black Ops Cold War seasons.” We do not know what the future will hold, but the present encompasses all the content of all 3 games at once.

Weapons and operators, conflict of times

The full weaponry from both games will be present at Warzone. As it is. All primary and secondary weapons from the Black Ops Cold War cycle (including those added during seasons and projects) will be available in the battle royale for use. “Currently we have not planned to remove any weapons in Warzone,” they comment on the Activision blog.

Two AK-47s from different eras? Yes, it is possible in Warzone.

Obviously, a Modern Warfare weapon will not be usable in Black Ops Cold War, and the same in reverse. What will be possible is to have the same weapon model in a custom battle royale class. The company uses the AK-47 as an example, available in both games. You can use both the 1980 and 2019 version, each with its performance and accessories taken from the title they come from.

Weapons will be displayed in the gunsmith menu along with an icon that will indicate which game they come from. Any progress you’ve made since March will remain intact, including the Obsidian or Damascus camouflages. As of December 10, the following Modern Warfare class elements will remain in Warzone: Perks, Lethal Gear, Tactical Gear, Field Upgrades, and Specific Kill Streaks.

You will be able to choose operators of the two games in Warzone.

The same goes for operators. You will be able to equip the characters of either game within Warzone, including gestures, skins, and finishing moves. There is only one exception: Frank Woods, who will be available in all 3 games. The only exception is his Master of the Marine Corps skin, available by pre-ordering Black Ops Cold War. That skin can only be used in Warzone and Modern Warfare.

Prestige return

Entering Prestige is one of the iconic moments of the Black Ops subsaga. The new installment would not miss the opportunity to add them back; in fact, it is part of the new progression system. The Prestige will extend the Military Ranks once you reach level 55. From that moment you will enter the progress of the season, with which you will receive your first Prestige.

From November 13 to December 10 it will work in a different way. You will earn Prestige 1 upon reaching the first level of the season (Military Rank 55). You won’t get to Prestige 2 until Season Level 50, which comes from an exclusive weapon project. The roof will be on Prestige 3, when you reach season level 100.

This is the preseason of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

This Prestige and Season system replaces the officer progression seen in Modern Warfare and Warzone thus far. Starting on December 10, you will return to Season 1 level and receive a Prestige every 50 levels. When you reach season level 200 and enter Prestige 4, you will be awarded the title of Master of Prestige.

Being a Prestige Master in a season gives you access to various privileges, among which is the ability to change your Prestige icon for other logos seen in previous installments of the saga. Making Prestige will not reset your classes or the weapons you have unlocked, as it always has. It is simply an aesthetic change that is coupled with different rewards.

Play where you want and how you want: Call of Duty through the generations.

Is level 200 the top of each season? No. As a Prestige Master, you will start your journey by reaching level 1000. Yes, you read that correctly: 1000. Each season has 1000 levels to reach; For every 50 you will receive exclusive rewards and you will have access to the Prestige store, where you can exchange keys for logos and other objects.

In case there are any clueless, it does not matter on which platform you do it. Whether in the new generation or in the current one, you can count on all this together with the save and cross-play system. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13 on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
