Activision and Paramount Pictures will bring a Call of Duty live‑action film to the world theaters on 30 June 2028, a date confirmed during the CinemaCon 2026 showcase.
Trailers Still Awaiting
Neither studio has released a full trailer yet; only a sizzle reel with the film’s logo appeared in 2026. A formal promo is expected sometime in 2027, after the project entered pre‑production a few months earlier.
Plot and Universe Confirmation
In a brief announcement at Fanatics Fest NYC, director Peter Berg stated that the story will unfold within the Modern Warfare setting that fans recognize from the video‑game series. The narrative details remain under wraps, though the team surveyed players to influence the script focus.
Characters Likely to Star
Although casting is ongoing, the film is slated to feature recognizable game icons: Alex, Captain Price, Gaz, Ghost, Konig, Laswell, Shepherd, Soap, and a new antagonist reminiscent of Makarov. Jim Boeven, the actor behind Konig in the games, is speculated to reprise his role.
Production Staff and Studio
Director Peter Berg heads the project, with writing co‑credits from Taylor Sheridan. 101 Studios produces the film, supported by producers Berg, Sheridan, David Glasser and Rob Kostich. Paramount Pictures will distribute the final product.
