Infinity Ward’s Pete Haile cautions that the size of the update will be voluminous, though he underscores his commitment to downsizing them in the future.
Calls of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone have been struggling all year with the size of downloads. Despite the fact that Infinity Ward apologized on previous occasions, it is a problem that they have not managed to solve so far. Judging by the statements of Pete Haile, director of production of the video game, it does not seem that this will happen with the next update. The creative has warned that the new Season 5 content pack (all the information at this link) will not be a lightweight.
“Hello everyone,” begins on Twitter. “The Season 5 update is coming soon and it will be great. With the patch we will include all the content of the season, as well as the optimization of the resource packs ”. This means, he continues, “that the download will be large, but the size of the game will be reduced on consoles after downloading the patch,” despite the fact that they will add a lot of content from the season.
“It is a priority for us to continue working to reduce the total size of Modern Warfare and Warzone on your hard drives, but at the same time, we want to be able to launch new seasons for everyone to enjoy. We will continue working and making space reductions in future updates ”, he concludes.
its a priority for us to keep working on reducing the overall size of MW & WZ on your hard drives, but at the same time also delivering new seasons for everyone to enjoy. we’ll continue to work on this and keep pushing space reductions out with future updates.

In constant fight against cheats
Infinity Ward and Activision have encountered a wall so hard to crack that not even modern warfare has managed to tear it down. It is the wall of the cheats, a piece of concrete that does not disappear completely even though the Americans have put all their efforts into tearing it apart. Recently, a new wave of expulsions was confirmed, as we posted on FreeGameTips. They had previously taken similar measures.
Both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, although only the last one works under the free-to-play model.
