Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Battle Royale mode ‘Warzone’ should start in March

Playfront

It can hardly be denied that Infinity Ward is working on a Battle Royale mode for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare', which is probably called 'Warzone'. Numerous leaks have already revealed the map and more, so it's only a matter of time before Infinity Ward officially announces the mode.

There are now reports that the launch is scheduled for early March, either on March 3rd or March 10th, on which Tuesdays updates for the shooter are usually released.

Free-2-Play version?

In addition to a regular update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, ‘Warzone’ is also to appear as a free 2-play version and will then probably be financed through microtransactions, and an upgrade to Modern Warfare should also be possible. So far nothing has been confirmed.

However, if you look back at successful Battle Royale games such as Apex Legends, it makes sense that Activision wants to get involved as well and build another pillar that exists outside the main Call of Duty line. Other publishers will not want to miss out on the sales generated by Apex Legends alone, for example.

If the latest news is true, you should hear more about Warzone and the Battle Royale plans in the coming days.
