Call of Duty: Modern Warfare | The weight of its new patch, worldwide trending topic on Twitter

The new season of the Activision title comes with a lot of content, but also with a strange bug that doubles the size of the patch on Xbox One.

In Infinity Ward they recognized that the size of the patches of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was not exactly light. The studio promised to work to gradually reverse the situation, but the new video game update (Season 4) is back in the news. Patch 1.22 on Xbox One is supposed to weigh about 44.3 GB, as we’ve posted on FreeGameTips. However, some console users have found that in their case, that figure was even higher: 84 GB. The funny thing is that it has become a global trending topic on Twitter.

Activision’s official customer service account on that same social network has collected the complaints and has classified it as a failure. “We are actively investigating a Modern Warfare bug in which some Xbox players are seeing a heavier than expected download size in the update. Stay tuned for more updates ”, they explain.

The novelties of the fourth season

Season 4 will kick off with a new game mode. In Jailbreak, we can return to the game even if we are eliminated. In addition, Fire Sale will offer a temporary discount on many of the items, which will go up to 80%. Furthermore, a helicopter will appear on the map and will distribute resources, weapons, armor boxes, ammunition and much more. These novelties are completed with the Contraband System, a new contract through which a permanent Blueprint can be obtained.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been available since last October on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The title works under a seasons model, which adds maps, operators, game modes, etc. regularly. Infinity Ward has also released Call of Duty: Warzone, its standalone battle royale. Unlike the main game, accessing Warzone is completely free, since it is a free-to-play.
