Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to release 15GB patch

Infinity Ward does not release the update notes, but it does offer some details on the changes to be added.

The third season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone has begun. With it, a new update is necessary for the video game developed by Infinity Ward, as announced by the studio through its website. Although the developers have recognized on some occasion that their intention is to decrease the size of the patches, the truth is that the file that Xbox One and PS4 players will have to download will not be precisely light, nothing more and nothing less than about 15 GB. It will be available from April 28.

According to the Infinity Ward message, once you install the patch and select a game mode (multiplayer, campaign, Special Operations, etc.), you will see an installation menu appear. At this point you must download Data Pack 1 and restart the game for the changes to take effect. Most of the modifications correct bugs and small inaccuracies, such as an error that sometimes prevented choosing the desired faction in the Operator menu.

Battle against cheats

Infinity Ward has not stopped announcing that it is taking very severe measures against violators. In this new update to his official blog, he has once again warned surfers and reiterated that cheats have no place in their video games. After kicking out more than 70,000 users, the North American developer has focused on reinforcing its notification tools. Among the recent developments, suspects will be sent to play together while the security team determines their innocence or guilt. In addition, it has confirmed that it works on a new system that will work through Killcam and Warzone's Spectator Mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went on sale last October on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unlike the previous installment, it did not have a launch battle royale mode. The strategy has varied and the studio has released Warzone as a separate title, under the free-to-play model.
