Call of Duty Warzone, more players in 10 days than Fortnite in its first 10 weeks

The Activision game already has 30 million users, and is growing at a faster rate than Apex Legends or Fortnite.

Call of Duty Warzone is unstoppable and shows that it is here to stay. The Activision game has hit hard since its release with six million on its first day, but now that it is ten since it was released, they have achieved a new brand: 30 million users. These data are superior to those that, for example, Fortnite had in its first ten weeks of life (it took eleven to get 30 million) and are much closer to the 'boom' that Apex Legends supposed, which got 25 million in a week and he reached 50 at four.

Warzone is the free battle royale mode of Call of Duty, which can be downloaded on PC, PS4 and Xbox One at no cost and which, if you have Modern Warfare, is integrated within the launcher itself. The title started with six million and after three days he had already obtained 15 million (Apex had 10 million in 72 hours). Warzone is now set to hit the 50 million peak set by the game from Respawn Entertainment and EA and achieve it within four weeks.

It looks like you can get it for various reasons. The first, the power of a brand such as Call of Duty added to the concepts of free and Battle Royale at a time like today. The second is the situation of confinement that forces several million students of all ages to be at home in various countries affected by the pandemic. And the third, the trend, which seems to be very similar to that of Apex.

As indicated in the graph accompanying the article, courtesy of Roundhill Investments, the curve of registered users in Apex and Call of Duty is quite similar after the first few days. Warzone had a stronger start but the Apex rebound at 7-8 days was higher, although now at 10 the Activision game is above again. If anything, the trajectory seems pretty similar so if players keep cheering up, we can see an even better brand in Warzone.
