Activision and Infinity Ward's successful video game battle royale achieves growth rates very similar to those of Apex Legends in its day.
Call of Duty: Warzone continues to grow at great speed. Activision's new big bet in the universe of free to play video games of the battle royale genre by Infinity Ward already accumulates more than 50 million players after completing its first available month.
The game, which had more than 15 million players in less than a week, is growing at a speed very similar to that of Apex Legends, so it invites you to think that this contender is here to stay, unlike Blackout, the response of the genre by Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, which failed to maintain itself over time. All in all, the game accumulated more players than Fortnite: Battle Royale in its first 10 weeks, although in this case the context was very different.
As far as game modes are concerned, Infinity Ward has rectified after removing the trios in its cast of options: They're back. With Season 3 already underway (third season in just one month), the game continues to redefine its formula with a multitude of experiments, temporary or permanent news and a very dedicated community.
