We tell you all the changes, adjustments and news of the patch for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War on PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone receive the Season 2 update, now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. The changes vary depending on the game and cover practically all aspects. We leave you with the full notes below.

Call of Duty: Warzone: Full Notes

Size

  • PS5: 17 GB

  • PS4: 17 GB

  • Xbox Series X | S: 17.9 GB

Gameplay

  • Equipment updated by Verdansk and includes the two new weapons from Season 2: FARA 83 and LC10 SMG.

  • Players who are on the gas longer will take more damage over time.

  • Previous Season Challenges can now be completed after it ends and during future seasons.

  • Warzone intelligence missions have been removed.

  • Balanced the experience gained in Kingslayer and the other unique modes to balance the rewards.

New points of interest

  • The Vodianoy freighter is now grounded next to the Prison.

  • Missile silos hidden by Verdansk: Military Base, Novi Grazna Hills and Tavorsk Park.

  • Bunkers 00, 04, 05, 06, 09 and 11, the subway and the stadium garage have been closed.

Weapons

  • New weapons: FARA 83, LC10 and Machete.

  • Added challenge unlockables on MAC-10 and Groza.

  • Reactive weapon project added.

  • Cold War accessories have been adjusted so that their strengths and weaknesses now work properly.

General fixes

  • Players will no longer respawn outside of the Gulag combat area.

  • When equipping Vulnerable Ammo on Cold War weapons, they will now have a cooldown.

  • Fixed errors with the course of the reticles.

  • The Spirit of the Forest skin now renders correctly at all distances.

  • The Gem Cutter silenced assault rifle is now properly silenced.

  • Operator Unkillable mission will now correctly trace kills you have taken with High Alert on.

  • The Mac-10 unlock challenge will now plot correctly when you get two quick kills using a submachine gun.

  • Operator missions now require the partner operator to be equipped.

  • Fixed a bug where war songs were not playing correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where the heartbeat sensor would incorrectly deploy the player with the phantom perk activated in the death chamber.

  • Prestige banners now include the correct text.

general

  • Complete changes to the main menu and fixed the possibility of the equipped weapon not showing up.

  • Added in combat log the ability to see where on the body you have shot the enemy.

  • Fixed an issue with displaying unlocked medals.

  • Implemented a smoother transition between level-up animation and current level rewards.

  • The post-fight report now shows rewards from the last level you unlocked if you unlocked several at the same time.

  • Prestige levels added between 8 and 11.

  • New songs added to the music player.

  • Added Package Locker and Quick Equipped.

Multiplayer

  • Small changes have been made to the environment of the Crossroads Strike, Cartel, Satellite, Moscow, Raid, and Express ampas.

  • Added Gun Game mode.

  • New weapon projects added to the arsenal.

  • Fixed a search and destroy issue that allowed you to gain experience from the last player alive.

  • Reduced the opacity of the interface while aiming the peephole on search and destroy, hot spot and control.

  • Adjusted the required score for the following casualty streaks: Air Patrol (2,700 to 2,400), Attack Helicopter (5,000 to 4,500 points), VTOL Escort (7,000 to 6,500), and Counterintelligence Plane (1,200 to 1,400); The latter’s refresh rate goes from 60 to 90 seconds.

  • Fixed an issue where supply packs could lose their mark on the map if you bypassed the death chamber while it was visible.

  • Fixed an issue where the cruise missile would lock inconsistently in multi-team matches.

  • Fixed an issue where the player who was already hidden by an inhibitor could still be hidden from enemy spy planes (same change in HARP).

  • The player’s vision will degrade within a cloud of smoke caused by a smoke grenade.

  • The Trophy system has reduced the damage it deals to a player to a maximum of 10.

  • Players will not be able to respawn if a gas mine is activated.

  • Fixed an issue where when running to cancel a reload the moment before the ammo was replenished, the weapon could fire.

  • Small jump reduction and slowness penalty after landing from a jump.

  • Increased the range of Point Blank camo challenges.

  • Fixed an issue where bookmarks could display information backwards.

  • Fixed an issue where bots could not capture Zone A in Domination in Nuketown ‘84.

  • Added option “select / deselect all” in the quick game menu.

  • Fixed an issue where the nuke drop could stay stagnant when rewinding in cinema mode.

Zombies

  • Added Outbreak mode with three regions to explore: Ruka, Alpine, and Golova (the latter launch exclusive). More to come.

  • Added new levels IV and V in each skill.

  • New refined and quality crystals obtainable in the previous levels.

  • New skill categories for launchers and special weapons.

  • Frenzied Guard added to field upgrades.

  • Shatter Blast ammo mod added.

  • Deadly machine added to the Zombies.

  • Fixed an issue where voices would not appear after activating the attack with napalm, cruise missile, or artillery.

  • Visual adjustments to artillery markers and Napalm attack.

  • Added new pieces of intelligence in Outbreak and Onslaught; subtitles added in radio transmissions and audio logs.

Firebase z

  • Stability improvements related to Side Quests, Intelligence, Mimics, and Manglers.

  • Closed various exploits around town and Firebase in which zombies could not attack the player; also those that allowed to reach unintended locations.

  • Fixed an issue where Zombies would get stuck in a village respawn.

  • Fixed an issue where a notification would not be given when opening the Parking gate.

  • Fixed an issue where the prompt to get Dimitri’s eye persisted after interacting with him.

  • Fixed an issue where Orda’s health bar would not display while gunner on the helicopter.

  • Cleaned collisions and zombie tweaks in Scorched Defense.

  • Fixed an issue where Orda’s weak points were vulnerable in assault rounds.

  • Reduced the lag in firing when switching firing modes on the crafting weapon; secondary attack will now appear when you hit Manglers directly.

  • Fixed an issue where the boss of the main quest was not correctly scaling in difficulty through rounds. The inability to hunt a mimic in solo play with the Essence Trap has also been removed.

  • Increased the time of the reward chest when completing a side quest.

  • Fixed an issue where the upgraded Monkey Bomb would not kill the correct number of enemies.

  • Fixed an issue where Elite and Critical kills were not registering correctly on the leaderboards.

Die Maschine

  • Fixed an issue where the player could teleport off the map when exiting the Dark Aether.

Dead Ops Arcade 3

  • Improved stability.

  • Several exploits closed.

  • Fixed rare issue where Margwa would be eliminated during dynamic dungeon crafting.

  • Fixed Chalice / Shield destinations not being included as potential Fate dungeon rewards.

  • Fixed an issue where repeatedly hitting the use button could accidentally activate an object that was far away.

  • Fixed an issue where too many additional bosses would appear when starting round 125.

  • Fixed an issue where the War Shop bonus would remove vehicles when a player exited the bonus area.

  • Fixed an issue where more than one player could donate a life to a downed player.

  • Gems will now stop spilling when the player respawns.

  • Margwa’s distance reduced by 17%.

  • The Room of Justice will now appear when round 65 is complete.

  • Time added to the room of justice based on the player’s counter.

  • The Fate of Fortune now adds 80% overruns instead of 40%.

  • Player kills no longer count in the “Slideways bonus” areas.

  • Depending on the level you start at through the advanced start, the player will get additional lives, bombs, and boosts.

  • Bookmarks reset.

General in Zombies

  • Fixed an issue where the distance to the player’s grave was not updating correctly.

  • Outbreak challenges added.

  • Melee damage will now contribute to various daily challenges.

  • Fixed an issue where eliminations with Pack-a-Punched weapons were not contributing to Daily Challenges.

  • Added Frenzied Guard and RAI K-84 to the field upgrade and combat log menu, respectively.

  • The Gunsmith in Zombies will now default to Zombies camos.

  • Added vehicle customization at the Zombies rendezvous point.

  • Onslaught (PS4 and PS5): Added Apocalupse and fixed an issue where Mangliers were not attacking properly in certain areas of Express.

Pc

  • Fixed several unexpected closures.

  • Fixed rare unexpected shutdown using third party software when playing in full screen and closing and opening the window.

  • Improved the message when loading a game mode not installed.

  • Emote slot 4 can now be used.
