In addition to the forthcoming expansion ‘The Foundation’ for Remedy’s ‘Control’, a new title update will also be available, which is presented in a video today.
Among other things, this improves the functionality of the map, adds the option to reallocate skill points to control points using essence, and other improvements. This includes the Shield Rush Ability Upgrade, which can be seen in the video below.
You can use this to create a barrier from surrounding objects and then smash it onto your enemies.
The Foundation
In The Foundation, the astral plane collides with our reality. Jesse Faden, director of the Federal Bureau of Control, has to travel through the foundation’s caves to prevent the astral plane from consuming the oldest house. Missing operations manager Helen Marshall may have some answers to the riddles surrounding this threat. As she travels deeper, Jesse will learn more about Marshall’s disappearance and the puzzling board.
The DLC promises a whole new level that can be accessed via the Hotline Chamber in Central Executive. All you have to do is complete the main game. Not only main missions have to be completed within the Foundation, but also several side missions await the player, which together offer you about four to five hours of brand new gameplay.
