Control: Ultimate Edition coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X / S in February

Remedy Entertainment will introduce different graphic modes in the new generation consoles, so you can choose between 60 fps or ray-tracing.

It was scheduled for this year 2020, but finally 505 Games, the publisher of Control: Ultimate Edition, announced that the improved version for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5 would not be published for a while. Remedy Entertainment, the studio responsible for the video game, has revealed the release date: it will be February 2 when we can enjoy the digital version, although it will also be released on disk a month later, on March 3, 2021. The The game will incorporate several graphics modes, the classic performance mode (60 fps) and the one that focuses more on graphics (30 fps, but with ray-tracing).

Remedy Entertainment has explained that they are still working on the trailer, but they have not wanted to miss the opportunity to show the game running on a PlayStation 5. It should be noted that the title has starred in a bitter controversy, since the buyers of the edition that were initially edited will not be eligible for the enhanced version. In other words, those who already own the game would have to checkout again and get Control: Ultimate Edition.

In search of answers

In this new production from the creators of Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break, players step into the shoes of Jesse Faden, a woman who has spent years searching for her brother, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The investigations lead to the headquarters of the Federal Office of Control, but the search for answers does not go as she would have expected, because in the blink of an eye she becomes the director of the organization. The OFC has been invaded by the Hiss, a parasitic creature that threatens to wipe out the entire human species.

After releasing the second story expansion, AWE, Remedy Entertainment is already working hard on its new intellectual property, which is still unknown. Even so, Sam Lake, visible head and one of the architects of the study, has published a photo on Twitter in which he comes out with a draft of the script. What those pages contain is already a mystery, like many of the developer’s games.
