Valve registers a new milestone in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. It is the third game on Steam that manages to exceed one million simultaneous users.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive continues to surpass new goals in 2020. Although in February it broke its number of simultaneous users at 876,575 players, today it did so again. Eight years later he joined the million dollar club.
In the last hours, 1,007,062 concurrent players have been registered, more than 120,000 since their last peak. This was appreciated by the company itself on Twitter:
Thanks a million.

In this way, it consolidates its third position on the platform, second only to DOTA 2 (1,295,114) and PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds (3,257,248). The increase in the registered number is not a coincidence. The COVID-19 crisis confined millions of people in places with high population densities, such as China, Italy and Spain.
This would be the classification:
Playersunknow’s Battlegrounds | 3,257,248
DOTA 2 | 1,295,114
Counter Strike: Global Offensive | 1,007,062
Fallout 4 | 472,962
POSTCARD | 412,063
Grand Theft Auto V | 364,548
Hitman 2 | 361,001
Kathy Rain | 348,015
Monster Hunter: World | 334,684
Counter-Strike | 319,586
Remember that Counter Strike: Global Offensive is currently available at no additional cost to all users who want to take the leap. The ranking system added in recent years is the one that governs how the search system works. Not everyone will be able to access the competitive starting areas, but a progression is required that will allow us to be able to access all the modes, although it will never match us with those who acquire the prime status. This restricts access to users who make multiple accounts.
2020 kicked off with the introduction of Operation Shattered Web, which offered for the first time in the series the ability to change our soldier's aesthetic, plus a handful of community-created maps, skins, and more.
