From the screen to the real world. This can be experienced this summer thanks to the UFC, who want to host a real Mortal Kombat tournament.
This was announced by UFC President Dana White, who used the original film from 1995 as a template. Three unknown martial arts athletes are released on a mysterious island to fight in a tournament for “the fate of the earth”. Every week there will be exciting fights that can be followed live or by recording.
Where exactly this tournament will take place is still a secret. But it is probably a private island, whose contracts for use are nearing completion. The extent to which the entire project can be implemented due to the corona pandemic is also currently being examined.
Especially interesting are the rules of the game during the tournament, where you can look forward to exciting martial arts fights and styles. A well-known cosplay would also be desirable. You will probably have to do without fatalities, super powers or the like.
