Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt RED has not spoken with Microsoft to remove the game from its store

The Polish developer has reached an agreement with Sony to withdraw the product from the PlayStation Store.

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 continues to fill news headlines. Sony recently announced the withdrawal of the video game from the PlayStation Store, as well as its intention to refund the money to all those who request a refund. This decision has been made in line with CD Projekt RED, as they have subsequently revealed. The state of the versions of the previous generation base consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) has been what has ended up leading to this process. But what about the Microsoft Store? Nothing at the moment, as the Poles have not spoken to them, as Reuters reports.

“We are not having that type of discussion with Microsoft at this time,” said Adam Kicinski, CEO of the company, in statements to this agency. Therefore, until confirmed otherwise, Cyberpunk 2077 will continue to sell normally on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

Likewise, he stressed that the refund of the money will be made when they have verified that it has indeed been purchased through the PlayStation Store. “Remember that the completion of your refund may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution.”

Cyberpunk 2077 went on sale on December 10 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Google Stadia. From now on, the developers will focus on improving the game through patches. There is no date yet for the expansions or next-generation updates, scheduled for sometime in 2021.
