Dark Souls 3 receives the weapons and techniques of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice through a mod

A user creates a mod that includes weapons, techniques and combos from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice within the Dark Souls 3 universe. Come and see.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sneaks into Dark Souls 3. A user works on a mod that adds the one-armed wolf’s arsenal, including special moves, combos, and more.

This is Blades of Ashina, the mod that adds Sekiro’s techniques in Dark Souls 3

Rogier “Rhodan” Noorduizen, author of this Blades of Ashina, released last June 2020 a mod that little by little introduces the weaponry used in From Software’s latest release. However, his work did not stop in these months: the last update dates from January.

You can download the mod now through Nexus Mod at this link. Of course, you must have a copy of Dark Souls 3 on Steam in order to run it. Once inside the game, you will see the appearance of weapons such as the Kusabimaru, the phantom Kunai, the Snake Eyes cannon, Ashina’s great bow and more.

What is really interesting about this work is that the weapons are not an aesthetic aspect. They have influence on the action and the set of movements at your disposal. If you hold down the triggers, the actions change just as you would attack in Sekiro. As you can see in the tweets that accompany these paragraphs, Noordhuizen is careful when it comes to faithfully representing the Shadows Die Twice universe within Dark Souls 3.

Weapons are added into the Fire Link Shrine’s inventory of the merchant. The author points out in his official FAQ that Blades of Ashina works on any type of save file, so you don’t need to start from scratch. Unfortunately it is not compatible with other mods; If you really want to use it, you have to do without the rest that you have installed.
