Dead Island 2 will also appear on PS5

The development of ‘Dead Island 2’ has dragged on for years and most recently ended up at Deep Silver Dambuster, which I hope will bring the game to an end. In addition to the original PS4 release, they are obviously also striving for a cross-gen release on PS5.

This is evident from current job advertisements for an art director, which state:

“… The next chapter in the world famous Dead Island franchise. […] This is a fantastic opportunity […] to lead a groundbreaking title for current and future platforms in a truly progressive and future-oriented studio. ”

How much Dead Island 2 still has to do with the original version of Yager Development is currently unclear. As far as you know, Deep Silver didn’t like the comedic approach at the time, who preferred to see a darker version of Dead Island 2.

Dambuster had last produced and released Homefront: The Revolution, and previously had been on the road as Crytek UK and Free Radical, which were best known for the Timesplitters series.

When Dead Island 2 will be released is also completely unclear.
