Death Stranding: a fan recreates BT in Dreams

The strange beings that populate the world of Hideo Kojima's new work become playable characters in the title created by Media Molecule.

Sam Porter Bridges advances with his load behind his back. He carries a briefcase in his left hand and some valuable metals in his right hand. Walk slowly, trying not to lose your balance, because of falling on the ground, it is possible that your merchandise is irreparably damaged. Suddenly, the rain begins to fall, the baby who has been hooked to his body babbles and the fearsome forms of the BT materialize on the horizon. We are in Death Stranding, but also in Dreams, because a follower has managed to reproduce these beings in the Media Molecule video game.

The peculiarity is that in this version, created by the user Mcalchemist, it is possible to control one of these creatures. As you can see in the video, the hazy enemy moves through scenarios that obviously reproduce the United States designed by Kojima Productions. The editor's tools offer the possibility of designing all kinds of playable experiences.

Dreams, which is still in early access, was launched as an editing tool months ago. The game will receive in its final version the levels and video games produced by the studio itself, although the idea, true to the style of Media Molecule, is that it is the community that shares its creative talent.

The controversy of The Game Awards 2019

Death Stranding is available on PS4, and although it is console exclusive, it will go on sale on PC in the early summer of 2020. Hideo Kojima's work has been one of the great winners in the 2019 Game Game nominations. However There have been voices that have questioned the cleanliness of the voting, since Geoff Keighley, organizer of the awards, is a personal friend of the Japanese creative.

However, the journalist himself has come up with rumors and has given explanations. "I respect and appreciate the complaints. This is why we have the Frequently Asked Questions section on the web, above, so that the process is clear. It is something that I do not vote for either the nominees or the winners. In my role as a producer, I work closely with publishers and developers at many levels, so I leave this critical aspect to the media. " Nominations are decided through an international jury formed by more than 80 media.
