Death Stranding: confirmed the time of launch of the game in digital

Hideo Kojima's new work is about to be marketed, but will not be unlocked in all regions at the same time.

The future is already in your hands, we can almost feel it, but it will still take a few hours. Kojima Productions prepares to market Death Stranding, its first video game outside of Konami, which will go on sale next November 8 on PS4. Those who have acquired it in digital format will ask at what time they can begin to incarnate Sam Bridges. The answer is different depending on the region.

In the case of Europe, it will be at dawn, at 00:00 in the United Kingdom (1:00 in peninsular hours), that is, one hour after the day of November 8 begins. If you live in other regions, the schedule will be different, since not in all places it is unlocked at the same time:

  • New Zealand: 00:00 am NZDT, Friday, November 8.
  • Pacific: 21:00 PT, Thursday, November 7.
  • Eastern United States: 00:00 am, Friday, November 8.

Playable freedom, but not argumentative

Hideo Kojima chatted in a panel held at the EGX in Berlin about various aspects of the video game. The creative declared that he offers players freedom through game mechanics. However, on the plot level, the creative mind behind Death Stranding prefers to remain as the conductor. Although many paths and parallel narratives are offered in many open worlds, Kojima sees history as "a destiny," a path that must be traced by his screenwriter.

“I listen to the players, because they are part of it, they have to play it. I monitor it a lot and I hear what they say, ”he commented. “But not the story or the subject. That depends exclusively on me. ”

Death Stranding will not only be released on PS4, it is also confirmed that 505 Games will publish the game on PC, and will do so in early summer 2020, still without a more specific date.
