Death Stranding – players rip the title & love it alike

Playfront

Already the international reviews for 'Death Stranding' were very far apart, which gave everything from 3 to 10. A game that splits the entire video game world like no other one these days.

With today's release, players can now share their opinion on Death Stranding, which is somehow tearing apart the new work of Hideo Kojima. As is well known, these are less squeamish with their statements, which go to court very hard with Death Stranding.

For example, the average Metacritic score for users is only 6.4 out of more than 2,500 ratings. Some write that the title is judged partly only good because it comes from Hideo Kojima. Indie developers, who often have very good concepts, are ignored.

Another writes that Death Stranding is pretentious, narcissistic and the most boring video game of all time. The word 'walking simulator' also keeps falling, the boring gameplay is criticized, too many cut-scenes and a repetitive mission design.

There are mostly positive voices

Mostly, however, you have to realize that Death Stranding is seen positively, with incredible graphics, unique ideas and interesting approaches. The fresh experience and the fascinating game world is mentioned again and again. At the same time, one also reads that Death Stranding is not made for every player, which is underpinned by these very different impressions.

But one should definitely have achieved that with Death Stranding (our review), a game that will be talked about and discussed for a very long time. Whether this also shows in commercial success remains to be seen.
