Playfront

Undoubtedly, Death Stranding is one of the finest titles in this generation, especially on the PS4 Pro, where the new Hideo Kojima factory is already providing a glimpse of what awaits us in the next generation.

This is also confirmed by the first performance and Reviews tests for the title, including Digital Foundry and Gamingbolt. Surely, much more will be possible on the PS5, with Death Stranding, it is believed, but one shows already, what should expect a specially around the launch period of the PS5.

"This is a great title and a solid benchmark that should be compared to the PS5 title from the Launch window," it says.

Death Stranding is powered by the Decima Engine, which is based on the in-house engine of Guerilla Games and was further modified for the game. Parts of Death Standing will probably be further optimized with the PS5, including the native 4K resolution, even finer textures, fideltity aspects, the shaders and the lighting and of course the ray tracing technology, the simple with the current hardware not yet feasible.

Generally you can see Death Stranding on the PS4 Pro but already there what the PS5 and the first games will initially do. As soon as the developers are more familiar with the new hardware, you will almost certainly be able to astonish people again and again.

Whether Death Stranding appears again for the PS5 remains to be seen. The consoles themselves are expected towards the end of 2020.
