Bungie presents upcoming Destiny 2 expansions through 2022 with The Witch Queen and Lightfall alongside special Beyond Light editions.
Bungie has presented this afternoon all the future contents of Destiny 2 with the expansion Beyond Light (Beyond Light) as a more imminent novelty, although also confirming that its video game will expand throughout 2021 and 2022 with two more expansions, The Witch Queen and Lightfall, respectively. In addition, the improvements to the title have also been confirmed in its next-gen versions, that is, for PS5 and Xbox Series X, in addition to the different special editions of Destiny 2: Beyond the Light.
Two new expansions for 2021 and 2022
Thus, each of the next three expansions will arrive with a new planet, starting with Beyond the Light with the frigid Europe from next September 22. In addition, and with the arrival of each new expansion, Bungie has announced that it will withdraw the previous content to make room for the new one, in addition to recovering the contents of the first Destiny for the current installment, starting with The Crystal Chamber, one of the most popular raids of the first title and that will return with a facelift during Year 4 of Destiny 2, on a date yet to be confirmed.
On the other hand, many of the improvements that Destiny 2 will enjoy in its versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have been announced, starting with the possibility of bringing all the contents of Destiny 2 from the current generation to the new one, both the base game as the different expansions, including Beyond the Light; that yes only between PS4 / PS5 and Xbox One / Xbox Series X.
In addition, it is confirmed that Destiny 2 will run at 4K and 60fps on both new generation consoles, along with the possibility of cross-play between the same ecosystem, that is, between PS4 / PS5 and Xbox One / Xbox Series X players.
