Devil May Cry 3 announced for Nintendo Switch; launch date confirmed

Dante returns to the Kyoto hybrid with the Special Edition of the PlayStation 2 classic, a port that completes the main trilogy.

Capcom already warned. The Japanese company plans new remakes, not only of its star sagas, but also of fallow franchises. However, the new announcement for Nintendo Switch is not a revamped version, but a port of the classic Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. The Japanese have announced that the game will be available on the console on February 20, 2020, at a recommended price of about 20 euros.

Unlike PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, which received the trilogy in an HD Collection, Capcom released the first two games separately on Nintendo Switch. It is unknown if there will be any pack that encompasses all three video games. This special edition includes several extras, such as the possibility of playing as Vergil. It also includes the game mode that invites us to explore a total of 9,999 floors to obtain special costumes for Dante or Vergil.

In Devil May Cry 3, we meet a younger version of Dante, who begins to make his first steps as a private investigator, all while killing demons and confronting his twin brother.

Good debut of the fifth installment

The saga lives a sweet moment thanks to Devil May Cry 5, which has met the expectations of the Japanese company. Throughout this year, the Japanese have marketed other important games. On the one hand, Resident Evil 2 Remake, which adapts the classic to the times; on the other, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, expansion of the original game.

All these video games have won nominations for The Game Awards 2019, a contest that will take place on December 12 (early December 13 in Spain). Will Devil May Cry 5 get hold of any of the coveted awards? We discovered it in a few weeks. Meanwhile, Dante remains for a while.
