Capcom’s video game will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X | S with different graphic configurations; 4K and 60 FPS without RT are guaranteed.

Capcom will not miss the start of the new generation of consoles and will do so with Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, an expanded and improved version of the famous title published in 2019. William Yagi-Bacon, vice president of digital platforms and marketing at the firm Japanese, has stated in the ResetERA forums what the graphic configuration options of the video game will be on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

As he has confirmed himself, if we activate the technology that will improve lighting, shadows and reflections, ray tracing, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will run at 4K resolution and 30 FPS or 1080p and 60 FPS. In case we deactivate ray tracing, we can opt for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. Finally, if we want to play at 120 FPS (a monitor or television with 120 Hz and HDMI 2.1 port is necessary) we can do it, although in that case the resolution has not transcended. Summary below:

What’s new in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S

The game, which will also arrive in physical format, will feature Virgil as a playable character (on PS4 and Xbox One it will be sold separately as paid DLC). In addition, we will have turbo mode to accelerate the gameplay speed by x1.2; new difficulty mode called Legendary Dar Edition and a renewed technical section with 3D Audio. Regarding ray tracing, it will be included in Xbox Series X | S later as an update; output only on PS5.

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will be released digitally this November 10 on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S; on November 12 it will be on PS5, although in Europe we will have to wait until November 19 to be able to play it because the console will be released a week later in Europe. The physical version will land in stores on December 1.
