Doom Eternal Introduces Its Campaign Mode Expansion: The Ancient Gods Part 1

Bethesda will show a preview of the new DLC for Doom Eternal at Gamescom 2020, a story mode with a new setting and more enemies.

Has anyone been left thirsty for blood, wanting to kill demons? There is no problem. Doom Eternal has kicked off QuakeCon 2020 (which has been renamed QuakeCon at Home and is only in digital format). He has done it in style by announcing an expansion for his campaign mode. It will be called The Ancient Gods Part 1 (I think we can all intuit the existence of a second part) and it will be shown in depth on August 27, during the Opening Night Live event that this year’s Gamescom opens. Still, id Software has shared a first teaser trailer (which you can see on these lines). In it we can already appreciate the setting of the DLC and some of the enemies and threats that we will have to face.

Doom Eternal will also be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X

In the last hours, the game was also trending due to the announcement that both he and The Elder Scrolls Online will have a version for the new generation. Thus, Doom Eternal will have an update for PS5 and Xbox Series X that will take advantage of the power of both machines. The game is expected to achieve 4K resolution, an even smoother frame rate (120fps?), And cut load times considerably. In addition, these improvements will be totally free for owners of PS4 and Xbox One. The new platforms from Microsoft and Sony will be backward compatible with the game from the day of its launch, so it will be enough to introduce (or download) our copy on both machines to enjoy her. The update will be installed automatically once it is ready, enhancing an experience that is already one of the best we have tried these years in the genre of first person shooter.
