The id Software game achieves outstanding numbers in its debut on Steam.

DOOM Eternal hits hard in its first days since it was released. The id Software game, a direct sequel to DOOM 2016, has reaped some of the most impressive numbers in its early days on Steam. It went on sale on March 20 and it has been this weekend when it has reached its peak of players breaking the barrier of 100,000 users and currently placing its maximum at 104,891. The game has more than 125,000 followers on the platform and maintains impressive numbers, since the peak of the last 24 hours is above 85,000 concurrent players.

The comparison with DOOM of 2016 shows the desire for a sequel that the general public had. The game from four years ago peaked at 31,623 users, a third of what its sequel has added. The title, yes, maintains good shape and in the last 24 hours there have been almost 13,000 concurrent players as users peak.

Excellent press reviews

DOOM Eternal has reaped very good marks since its release, with a 9/10 in Meristation and above 85 in Metacritic. The game maintains the frenetic, relentless essence of the original game, but broadens horizons with more vertical action and new mechanics and exploration and platforming zones. The title also has the multiplayer mode already fully operational with all kinds of proposals that want to break with the classic deathmatch style that we saw in the previous installment.

If you want more information about DOOM Eternal, we encourage you to watch the first hour of play on PS4 Pro or consult our video Reviews, which will leave behind any doubt about the power of the game. It is already on sale on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and the Switch version is expected later.
