ID Software already polishes the first major free update for all players, along with the first DLC included in the Year One Pass.

ID Software is currently working on the first DLC of the DOOM Eternal campaign, but also on a major free update that will add one of the most popular features of this generation. We are talking about the Nemesis system that included Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel, Shadow of War, although it will do it in a different way since it will influence several players.

Revenge in exchange for rewards

This update, as usual, will serve for better game optimization and bug fixes, but it will also add new functions, such as what ID Software has aptly called Empowered Demons, or Empowered Demons, that will invade the games of other players to exchange of rewards for accounting for them.

How will this new addition work? Basically, when a player is killed by a demon in his game, that demon will be even more powerful and he will transfer to another player's game to also kill him. On the contrary, if the player is able to avenge the previous one, he will be rewarded with a large amount of ammunition, health, and even better, experience for the various events of the game.

But this function will not be the only one, since general improvements will come to Battlemode, the multiplayer with which ID Software wanted to break with what was offered in the previous installment. These improvements include low connection indicators, tutorial changes, a cheat system and an Echelon level for those who have already reached the maximum level. Minor changes have also been implemented in campaign mode.

Meanwhile, ID continues to polish what will be the first downloadable content included in the Year One Pass, available for 29.99 euros, surrounded of course, by a bitter controversy that arose this week due to a serious conflict with Mick Gordon, the composer of both DOOM like this recent DOOM Eternal.
