Actor Vic Mignogna has stopped embodying the character after Funimation decided to terminate his contract.
From now on, Broly's voice in English sounds different. Also in Dragon Ball FighterZ, the fighting video game developed by Arc System Works for Bandai Namco. The main reason for this change is motivated by accusations of harassment made against Vic Mignogna, the interpreter who to date lent his throat to the angry character in the saga of Akira Toriyama. Given how these licenses work, which are always shared by the anime dubbing actors, it is not surprising that they have chosen to remove it from the video game.
Instead we find Johnny Yong Bosh, the actor who will now be in charge of representing the Saiyan's grunts of anger. Vic Mignogna's last work as Broly was in his film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which tells a story of the character different from the one we met in the past.
Even so, both the Z and Super versions share a common feature: anger. Of course, in the first version, Broly hated Goku because they had shared their first days of living nursery. As Kakarot cried all the time, he ended up developing an unstoppable hatred against his person and his whining.

What happened to the Dragon Ball FighterZ actor?
Funimation, the Dragon Ball company, decided to dispense with Vic Mignogna after the harassment investigations to which he was subjected. The company then made the decision to dispense with its services and to seek new actors for all the projects in which it was immersed. Do not forget that the interpreter put voice to protagonists as well known as Ichigo Kurosaki, Bleach.
Mignogna also denounced Funimation and some of his companions for defamation, but the Texas district courts dismissed the lawsuit. According to Dallas News, Judge John Chupp rejected the remaining claims and decided to file the lawsuit.
Broly is the new character that has reached Dragon Ball FighterZ as DLC. The game is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
