PlayStation presents the new PlayStation 5 control pad, its final name and its main features with more immersion for the player.

PlayStation has just introduced the new PS5 controller, known this time as DualSense, a control pad that debuts new design and that advances the style of PlayStation 5, whose design is still a secret. Thus, and through its first official images and its new features shared by Sony, we know the first details of a control pad that promises greater immersion for the player.

The new DualSense debuts a completely new design compared to the current DualShock 4, although it maintains some of its features such as the central touch panel or the Options and Create buttons, the latter replacing the current Share, as well as the main typical PlayStation buttons and triggers, in addition to the arrangement of the two joysticks.

Beyond its definitive aspect, and as it transpired previously, the objective of the DualSense is to transmit more sensations than ever to the player, betting on a superior immersion compared to what we can currently experience with the DualShock 4. According to Sony, the feedback Haptic will allow us to feel in our hands everything that we see on screen, taking as an example the driving of a vehicle while passing through different surfaces.

To all this we must add the different levels of resistance that the L2 and R2 triggers will give us thanks to their adaptive characteristics. Moving on to its design, Sony engineers have chosen to offer a size not too big but enough to house all these new technologies at the level of motors and sensors, giving rise to new angles of the triggers along with its new ergonomic design .

On the other hand, the new DualSense incorporates a detachable integrated microphone to facilitate communication between players without the need for headphones, although those who want to continue using their own headphones with mic will be able to continue doing so. The DualShock 4's signature light bars give way to two new light strips located on either side of the center touchpad. Finally, the battery remains integrated into the body of the remote and is rechargeable.
