The company FDG Entertainment presented yesterday its own vision of the series DuckTales, a project that finally became a joke.
FDG Entertainment presented yesterday DuckTales Quackshot, an unpublished project based on the popular animated series Patoaventuras as an action platform that, in turn, recovered the style of the original Quackshot from Mega-Drive. The problem is that this announcement was published during April Fool's' Day, the international day of the innocents, causing fans to mix expectations and mistrust in case it was nothing more than a joke. So it was; or for the most part.
From discarded project to joke
And is that if we take into account the quality of the captures shared by FDG Entertainment, it was hard to believe that the whole thing remained in a simple trick of the April Fools'. So much so, that the game in theory was developed by Game Atelier, creators of the celebrated Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, adding more credibility to the matter.
Finally, and after acknowledging it through its official channel, FDG Entertainment admitted that this new DuckTales Quackshot in HD was in itself a joke of April Fools' Day, yes, actually presenting what was a DuckTales project discarded by Disney long ago.
Thank you for the overwhelming feedback on our #DuckTales Quackshot screens. We worked hard on a legit pitch to Disney but unfortunately never got the license. It would've been a shame to bury the material so it became this years #AprilFools. Maybe someday Disney will reconsider? pic.twitter.com/oLzikKds4u

“Thanks for the overwhelming feedback on our DuckTales Quackshot screenshots. We worked very hard to show Disney this project, but unfortunately we never got the license. It would have been a shame to bury all the stuff, so we made it into this year's April Fools' Day prank. Maybe Disney will reconsider one day? "They admit in an official statement.
And it is that as they point out from the company itself, and after the great success and the positive reactions of the community, perhaps Disney will think twice before discarding a title like the one in question.
