Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour announced for Nintendo Switch

The game has been adapted to the Kyoto system with an optional type of control that allows you to use gyros to target.

The aliens have invaded the world, but are unaware that their fate is far from conquest, at least if their path meets the quintessential action hero. And is that Duke Nuken 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is back, this time for Nintendo Switch. The game will launch on the Kyoto platform on June 23, but if you buy it before July 6, you will have the option to get it at a reduced price.

  • Buy Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour for 4.99 euros (50%, normal price 9.99 euros).

As a novelty compared to the other versions, the game includes an optional type of control based on gyro-targeting, one of the elements that some versions of shooters usually introduce on Nintendo Switch. Another of the extras is a new episode that contains eight original levels created by Richard ‘Levelord’ Gray and Allen Blum III, designers of the classic title. As if that were not enough, the composer Lee Jackson has been in charge of composing the soundtrack for the fifth episode, in which Jon St. John has also collaborated, which has voiced Duke again.

More special extras

Behind the scenes, behind the curtain, the secrets of development are hidden. But these secrets come back to light from the comments of the developers, accessible ingame in the title itself. The original creators talk about the creative process and reveal what is behind Duke Nukem 3D. Additionally, players will have the ability to toggle between the original 1996 version or enjoy the upgraded version, which uses a Gearbox graphics engine.

Duke Nuken 3D: 20TH Anniversary World Tour originally came out in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. With their arrival on Nintendo Switch, gamers will be able to rediscover the experience in a portable format.
