The E3 and its concept is currently undergoing a major change, but the event is still one of the most important gaming events of the year. In the meantime there are also first publisher commitments, while there is a prominent rejection with Geoff Keighley.
Various game publishers have confirmed their participation in E3, as a preliminary list of exhibitors shows. So despite the absence of Sony, there is still a lot to see. This year there are:
- Activision Publishing
- Amazon Game Studios
- Bandai Namco
- Bethesda
- Capcom
- Epic Games
- Kalypso
- NCSOFT
- RDS Industries
- Sega
- Square Enix
- Take-Two
- Tencent
- THQ Nordic
- Ubisoft
- Unnamed VR by Paracosma
- Warner
- XSEED Games
Who and how which press conference is held is currently still open. Publishers like Bethesda will probably be holding their own event again, which is likely to take place the weekend before. Only Limited Run Games has already confirmed their press conference on June 8th. Further details will follow.
Others might be shunning E3, but we'll be there!

Geoff Keighley stays away from the E3
For this, show host Geoff Keighley has canceled his participation in E3 for the first time this year with the E3 Coliseum. The event was always a personal highlight of the year and would have helped him significantly in his career, but for now he wants to see how E3 develops in a wait-and-see manner.
Keighley himself also sees that the E3 has to evolve, but after what he already knows about the future E3, he doesn't feel very comfortable with it anymore. However, he will continue to follow the event and see if he returns there in the future.
At gamescom in August, Geoff Keighley is again available for the Opening Night.
