The company, until recently led by Jade Raymond (now in Google Stadia), is immersed in the development of a new Star Wars video game, not yet announced. Present and future of Star Wars video games
Electronic Arts has owned the rights to the saga since Disney bought Lucasfilm. Shortly after the acquisition, the entertainment giant announced the closure of LucasArts, the legendary developer of graphic adventures and video games from Star Wars. The most recent hit for EA was Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, the action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment. Given its triumph in sales, this narrative single player title will become the first in a new saga.
Lucasfilm has also just announced a new production for virtual reality. This is Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy's Edge, which will allow us to explore the world and participate in history through decisions and consequences.
