Elden Ring: Xbox denies that it will be shown at an event in March

Phil Spencer has already played Elden Rings; "Miyazaki's most ambitious game"

The FromSoftware video game will not be present at a supposed Microsoft event dedicated to Xbox at the end of March; also not confirmed.

Aaron Greenberg, head of marketing at Microsoft, has clarified through the social network Twitter that there is no planned event dedicated to Xbox this March 23 with Elden Ring as one of the main protagonists. During the last days, different journalistic reports anticipated the possible appearance of the expected FromSoftware title in style at an event of the North American firm; however, apparently no such celebration will take place.

β€œJust to set expectations: this is not going to happen. There are always things going on, but there is nothing on the way that includes game announcements or world firsts like this, “Greenberg assumes.

The original information that has precipitated the intervention of a representative Xbox personality comes from this same February 26, when Paul Thurrott assured, added to “evidence” from Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, that the Elden Ring will be shown “soon.” Also Jeff Grubb, from GamesBeat, assured in the last episode of his podcast GamesBeat Decides that we will have news of the game from FromSoftware soon.

In any case, both Schreier and Grubb point out that the Elden Ring will be shown soon; At no time did they make it explicit that it was going to be at a Microsoft event, which now seems to be completely ruled out. Regardless of where that announcement occurs, we will have doubts in the coming weeks.

Elden Ring continues in development; silence reigns

Last December, the Japanese studio FromSoftware, led by Hidetaka Miyazaki, thanked the fans for their support, but did not see any news regarding the video game on the horizon. The latest official information we have about the game is that it is the “biggest and deepest” game ever made by the team, also in charge of the Souls or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice saga.

Elden Ring is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC; at least backward compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X | S unless it is confirmed that there is also a version in development for the current new generation of consoles. In this preview we explain why it is one of the most anticipated titles of the year.
