Esteban Ocon revealed a Spider‑Man: Brand New Day‑inspired helmet for Tom Holland, a gesture that will appear at the Belgian and Hungarian Grands Prix.
Ocon’s Spider‑Man tribute to Tom Holland
The Haas F1 driver designed a special edition mask that mirrors Holland’s signature superhero costume. The visor features the film’s official logo, a stylised Spider‑Man image, and intricate costume details that echo the on‑screen suit. Ocon said the helmet’s look “has loads of details of the costume, the logo and a Spider‑Man” before admitting he would gift a set to the actor.
What the F1 star said on the track
During an interview ahead of the movie’s release, Ocon was asked about the driver’s feeling at lights‑out. He described the moment as “excitement … but you need to be focused exactly when that’s gonna happen. You need to know your subject.” Holland, who has played Spider‑Man since 2016, shared that the new film “has been awesome” and that he expects it to “take fans on an emotional journey.” The actor could not reveal further details as the scene, “the final result,” was still under wraps.
Release dates and race schedule
Spider‑Man: Brand New Day will open in theatres on 31 July 2026. Ocon’s helmet will be visible during the Belgian Grand Prix (17‑19 July) and the Hungarian Grand Prix (24‑26 July), with two special‑edition masks produced for the events and one presented to Holland.
