Exclusive Sword and Shield Pokémon, temporarily unlocked for everyone

Game Freak will exceptionally allow Nintendo Switch players to access exclusives from the opposite version.

Game Freak has temporarily enabled an event called the Pokédex Completion Event so that Pokémon Sword and Shield players can access some exclusive species of the opposite version without the need for exchanges or purchase the game they do not have.

Thus, the list of exclusive Pokémon of each version is intervened until next March 26, when everything will return to normal. In order to savagely capture these previously unfeasible creatures in Sword in Shield (and vice versa) you need to go to the Wilderness Area; some only in the Raids. We can take a look at the list on Serebii.

Thus, now species like Ponyta de Galar can be captured in Pokemon Sword, which previously was only exclusive to Pokemon Shield; likewise, others like Farfetch’d, exclusive to Pokemon Sword, can now and exceptionally be captured in Pokemon Shield. We do not know if the measure comes to encourage gambling due to the global pandemic situation, but at least in this period it is best not to leave home and play.

Pokémon Sword and Shield Update 1.1.1 Now Available

This same week we have learned that, due to the version 1.1.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, the annoying error that affected the Magic Exchange has been eliminated: the hacked Pokémon. Since Pokémon HOME arrived, the doors were opened for players to include creatures created with external programs in the title cloud services; that is, illegal or altered species. When transferred to Sword and Shield, those who made use of the Magic Exchange — a random exchange — could unwittingly encounter fake Pokémon.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are exclusively available for Nintendo Switch; You can read our review of the game here. Starting this June, the Expansion Pass will be playable, a paid DLC divided into two parts that will bring with it a multitude of content, more than 200 Pokémon and new native species from Galar, among other new features.
