F1 2020: take a lap with Verstappen on the Zandvoort circuit; covers revealed

Codemasters shows the first virtual tour of the Zandvoort circuit, the Netherlands. We got on the Verstappen Red Bull and got to know the covers.

F1 2020 is preparing for qualification in a season that its real-life counterparts have yet to start. As usual on these dates, Codemasters begins to show muscle from their next job on the license. This time we got on Max Verstappen's Red Bull to make the first virtual lap of the Zandvoort circuit.

The Netherlands returns to the Formula 1 World Championship with a circuit that has not hosted a Grand Prix of this type since 1985. At that time, Niki Lauda was the last to cross the checkered flag. Following the growing popularity of the young Dutchman, the orange tide has forced the calendar to cross the Netherlands.

Along with the trailer, which you can see at the head of the text, the company has revealed the international covers of all editions of F1 2020. Michael Schumacher remains alone in the deluxe edition, which will include four of his classic single-seaters, three days of access in advance of the game and various cosmetics.

In the case of the standard edition, the Seventy Edition (on the occasion of F1's 70th anniversary) has several covers depending on the region. Below we break down the chosen couples:

  • United Kingdom, Germany and International – Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

  • Spain and Mexico – Carlos Sainz and Sergio Pérez.

  • France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy and Japan – Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

  • Australia and Poland – Kimi Räikkönen and Daniel Ricciardo.

For its part, F1 2020 is scheduled to arrive on July 10 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. The novelties of this edition include allowing us to create our own team. Being the 11th team will change the course of the trajectory mode as we know it so far, although in-depth details have not yet been shared. Two-player local mode will be allowed and the F2 license, which made its debut last year, will be maintained.
