Fairy Tail delayed again, according to Famitsu

The game will not arrive in June, as planned, but the delay will be just one month, according to the Japanese magazine.

Everything was prepared for the arrival of Fairy Tail on June 25, but finally it will not be like that. At least that ensures the Famitsu magazine, which indicates that the title of GUST Studios will not be ready until next July 30. The leak does not confirm the causes, although the last month has also been difficult in Japan, since due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Government decreed a state of emergency. Therefore, many companies have had to adapt to the new reality of teleworking.

At the moment, neither Koei Tecmo nor GUST have made the delay official on their official channels, but the Famitsu information comes directly from them. It is not the first time that Fairy Tail has been delayed. Production was initially scheduled for March, but the studio explained that he needed a little more time to materialize his vision.

They want to improve the product

"Please give us a little more time to polish the game and make sure we deliver the highest quality possible so that we can provide a truly immersive experience," said Keisuke Kikuchi, video game producer, in the press release forwarded on that moment.

According to Kikuchi, that extra time will allow them to improve the magical effects and scenes, with the idea that the game experience will be more satisfactory. The production, which follows the adventures and misadventures narrated in the Hiro Mashima manganime, will take the form of an RPG.

Fairy Tail will go on sale for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It is just one of many video games based on great manganime sagas, although many of those intellectual properties are exploited by Bandai Namco, who has the rights to sagas like Dragon Ball, Captain Tsubasa, My Hero One's Justice, Saint Seiya and many more.
