Mediatonic argues that it wants to bring the video game to as many players as possible and that it is working on it.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout keeps adding new features periodically. The Mediatonic game will be updated soon with mid-season content. Meanwhile, on the horizon, Mediatonic watches the rest of the consoles. Although the game was released on PS4 and PC, the developer plans to bring this fun experience to more systems. This was revealed by Dave Bailey, from Mediatonic, in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz.
“We have not said much about the roadmap we have for this, but what we can comment on is that we want to reach as many people as we can,” he acknowledges. “We want it to reach all major platforms, and we are working hard to achieve it.” In its condition as an online multiplayer game, one of the most demanding features that has not yet been implemented is that of cross-play, but at Mediatonic they are very aware of this.

The show has just begun
“We want to reach all the different platforms, and hopefully, to be able to connect all those systems so that people play together.” For the CEO of Mediatonic, Fall Guys is taking its first steps, since it was conceived from the beginning as a long-term project. “We’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to what we can do with the video game,” Bailey emphasizes.
The resounding success of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout took the studio by surprise. In these types of games, users demand regular content that must be ready more and more quickly. However, Mediatonic was not yet ready to meet that demand charged by the immediacy of the moment. “It’s crazy how insatiable people are with content,” he says. “You can’t grow a team overnight,” notes Joe Walsh. “Just because the game is gigantic doesn’t mean we can increase the amount of content we can make.”
